Getting sharpened together…
Proverbs 27:17 says “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” As we grow in our faith, we need to be in relationships that sharpen us. If we want to get sharp, we need to get close. If we want to get close, we need to get connected. If we want to get connected, we need to be consistent. We have many opportunities for all members of your family to consistently get involved this semester so that you will get connected to those close relationships that will sharpen your faith. From our Woodlake Kids Wednesday Night program to our Legacy Sunday School class, there are a lot of ways to get connected this year.
Read below for options to help your family get connected. If you have any specific questions or need help finding the best fit for you and your family, email Pastor Brandon.
Brotherhood - Sisterhood - Classes - Groups
If you want to get connected to people in our church family and you want to grow in your faith, we have a lot of ways to do just that in our adult ministries. Woodlake Kids:
Boys and Girls Ministries: On Wednesdays during the school year, we have “Brotherhood” for elementary boys and “Sisterhood” for elementary girls. Boys and girls both spend time learning God’s Word and growing in their relationships with leaders and each other.
Junior Bible Quiz: During the school year on Wednesday Nights at 5:30 PM, Junior Bible Quiz is practicing, learning comprehensive bible trivia and developing their overall knowledge of the bible. The culmination of this learning is to participate in Junior Bible Quiz competitions. This is a fun and engaging way for students between kindergarten to 5th grade to interact with God’s Word.

Woodlake Youth:
At Woodlake Youth, our Wednesday Night Small Groups are always priority #1. In these groups, our students build relationships with other students their age and are mentored by our team of incredible volunteer leaders. This Fall is all about connecting students into those relationships with the goal of helping them grow in their faith along the way.
Small Group Competition: One of the highlights of the year for our students is our small groups competion. This year’s competition will take place on Wednesdays beginning September 11.
Youth On Sundays: On Sunday Mornings, our youth classes meet for breakfast and an opportunity to go deeper into the Bible together. We have a class for Jr. High (Grades 6-8) and High School (Grades 9-12). Both classes meet in the Gathering Space at 9:30am.
Student Leadership Connect: Our students gather at the church for dinner and a chance to grow in their leadership. This is a great opportunity for students to develop their gifts, make some great friends, and serve together.
Fall Connect Dates:
9/1, 9/15 (Rally), 10/6, 10/20, 11/3, 11/17(youth rally), 12/1

Wednesday Nights:
We have opportunities for the entire family to grow in their faith every Wednesday Night! If you’re looking for where to start, come to our Prayer Service in the Auditorium. During this service we worship together, we take communion every week, we pray for the needs in our church, we pray for a missionary every week, and our sermons help us to dig into the Bible and apply God’s Word to our prayer life.
